Bidz.com (NASDAQ:BIDZ), a leading online retailer of jewelry, announced today the launch of a complete German-language version of its online auction site, Bidz.com. This version of the Web site can be accessed by clicking the "German" banner on the Company's homepage, www.bidz.com. The Company has also hired German speaking marketing personnel to better assist the new clientele.
The German-language site is geared to German-speakers and it is expected that the majority of sales conducted in German will come from Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg. The Company will utilize both internet and traditional advertising in those countries to publicize its German translation. The German-language site is the third in a series of non-English sites, which will seek to tap into the auction site's attractiveness around the world and will diversify the company's revenue stream.
