U.S. retailers discover sales potential overseas

Many U.S. retailers are reaping surprising online sales volumes from abroad in spite of the fact that many have done little to optimize the experience for international traffic, according to Internet Retailer’s new international e-commerce survey of 247 retailers and consumer brand manufacturers.  14.5% of those surveyed report that in 2009, 25% of their total web sales came from customers outside the United States.  This has many looking for ways to really tap these potential new markets.
