Founded in 1873 in Rotterdam, Holland America Line has a long, proud history. A premium brand in the Carnival Corp & plc portfolio of cruise lines, Holland America is known around the world for its exquisitely appointed ships, delectable cuisine and impeccable service.

After originally engaging MotionPoint to translate and optimize its website for several key markets, Holland America planned a major upgrade to its website platform in 2014. Its new service-oriented architecture was designed for improved performance and usability. But, Holland America wasn’t certain MotionPoint could handle the dynamic nature of the new site.

Solution

As the Holland America team worked to design the best way to leverage these new capabilities internationally, they concluded that the MotionPoint solution solved in one step what was otherwise a slower and more costly multi-step process. This realization reduced IT development time and helped the project launch successfully on August 8, 2014.

Outcome

The impact on international conversion rates has been significant.
