  • Are you creating a mirror site?

    • Prior to the development of MotionPoint's innovative technology, there was one primary way to add language to a website: companies would create and maintain "mirror" sites -- parallel translated versions of their original language websites. Developing these mirror sites was very expensive, time-consuming and labor-intensive. Maintaining the content of both sites in sync was virtually impossible for large or frequently changing websites.

    That's why MotionPoint developed its technology and service. Our method is more efficient than developing and maintaining a mirror site. Our system works even with large and complex dynamic websites, such as e-commerce sites.

    Our system is more reliable and efficient than all other methods of website translation.

  • My website is dynamically generated from a database. Will your technology work for me?

    • MotionPoint's technology was specifically built to handle the challenges of dynamically driven, rapidly-changing websites.

    Thanks to our innovative technology, compatibility is never an issue, regardless of what type of technology, database or content management system your company currently uses. Since our solution does not integrate with your company's CMS (unlike most legacy website translation solutions, which do), you'll always be free to modify and evolve your system. Your company can upgrade its web technologies without worrying about being "locked in" to a particular application or management system. MotionPoint's solution gives you the flexibility to run your English website with whatever technology you choose.

     

  • My website has a lot of other types of files on it, such as PDFs. Can you translate these, too?

    • Our exclusive technology has virtually no limits when it comes to translating your website. Our team translates all file types, including PDFs, JPGs, GIFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets -- even Flash files.

    When you work with MotionPoint, you'll receive a fully translated, fully functioning website including text, images, banners, alt tags and meta tags, regardless of file format. No other company delivers a turn-key solution.

     

  • My company is very security conscious. What happens to my customers' personal data and credit card information? Is it stored on your servers?

    • MotionPoint never collects any personal information from your consumers. Any personal data your company collects -- such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, birth dates, etc. -- is ignored by our system, and routed to your servers. Our system and translators never see this sensitive information.

    In addition, any security measures your company uses, such as SSL, will be maintained by MotionPoint's innovative technology. Your customers will have a worry-free, highly secure experience, regardless of the language in which they view your site.

     

  • My website uses "cookies". How do cookies work with your translation system?

    • Many websites use cookies to track consumer information, such as the frequency of visits to a particular website, or products in a shopping cart. MotionPoint's technology does not affect your system or content management software in any way.  Any cookies your site reads or writes will continue to function properly.

     

  • I use web analytics on my site. Will they continue to function on the translated site?

    • Any tools your company currently employs to analyze website metrics and consumer behavior are fully compatible with our unique technology.

    In addition, you can distinguish the translated website traffic from the English site traffic.

  • What if I want to modify or edit my web technology, such as changing the shopping cart?

    • As the times change, so will your website. You may want to rearrange its layout, alter its content or modify its technology. There's no reason why adding alternate-language capability to your website should limit future website growth.

    MotionPoint's technology gives your company the flexibility to change its English site at will, without impacting the translated website. Our solution does not need to integrate with your company's infrastructure, allowing you to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies. You maintain your English site as usual. MotionPoint handles the rest.

     

  • My website's shopping cart has a technically complex back-end. Can you translate the cart?

    • Our technology was engineered to handle all transactional technologies, including shopping carts. Deploying our solution in your shopping cart, reservation system, mortgage calculator or any other transactional technology is surprisingly simple. You manage and maintain your shopping cart on the English site as usual, and leave the rest to us. No other solution is this seamless.

     

  • Where is the translated website hosted? Can I host the website?

    • Our TransMotion® software can be hosted at your facility or at our secure facility. Nearly all of our clients use our turn-key solution, in which we host the system. However, you also have the option of hosting our solution on your servers.

    Who is better suited to host? The answer depends on a variety of factors, including infrastructure, bandwidth, security and your company's preference. After you speak with a member of our team, he will evaluate your site and make an appropriate recommendation.

     

  • How stable is your platform?

    • MotionPoint’s servers are housed in a professionally managed Tier-1 facility and are extremely stable. In fact, we guarantee 99.9% uptime. MotionPoint hosts and operates the translated versions of hundreds of the world's most heavily trafficked web sites for many of the world's most valuable brands. 

     

  • Do you have business continuity plans?

    • All of MotionPoint’s technologies are housed in multiple redundant Tier-1 facilities built to withstand natural disasters and which have self-contained power generation and bio-metric security systems in place.  MotionPoint's contingency and continuity plans ensure that every client enjoys that level of redundancy and business continuity they require.
